Dr. Robert F. Cahalan obtained a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois-Urbana in 1973. His research interests include chaos and fractals, cloud structure, Landsat and other high-resolution satellites, multiple field-of-view lidar, and solar forcing of earth climate.
